I am thinking of having a research using rice hulls. Since this material is often thrown and not used. I read an article that these rice hulls were made to become a fertilizer. I am thinking of making it a material for biofuel.

♥ Unexplainable Feeling ♥

Every one is very excited when their birthday is near. Every one is expecting and wishing of having a birthday celebration. Glen was one of those. As his best friend, I was very happy for him because his birthday celebration had gone so good and very enjoying. Before that day, he was very excited already. He even told me that his relatives from Batangas, and Amadeo would go to his party.

That morning, I woke up 8 in the morning. I was excited to the said event as well. I ate my lunch and took a bath. Tita Mayleen went in our house to do some manicure and pedicure to us. After that, my Ninang Nora and Ninang Liala arrived. Ninang Nora fixed my hair. My other classmates were starting to arrived. We planned to meet here in our house and we’ll be going in the party all together. My parents and Ninangs were busy dixing all my thins as if that I were the birthday celebrant. Before 11:30 we arrived in Glens house. We ate our lunch. Afterwards, we played basketball. We ate again and the boys went home already. We tried to cook the barbeque. I enjoyed it. When I wnet out of the kubo to get some ketchup, Myrene went in the cooking place and it suddenly burned. There was a big flame in the kubo. We we’re all frightened. I was so scared and thought something would happen not nice. Though it was scary, we just found it funny. We laughed at each other, specially to Myrene. The cake of Glen was so nice. It made him looked so childish. There was a spiderman statue on it. (I put it and I were the one told him to blow the candles. *hahaha*). His brother was laughing and teasing me. He was very naughty and quite irritating. Though it was irritating, I can’t feel any anger for him but I found it funny also. That was the start of the unexplainable feeling.

My point here is not the birthday, but the feeling I had when Grant and I started to talked and teased each other. It seems we knew each other for a long time ago already. I felt very comfortable to him. I hope he felt the same way to towards me. I really can’t explain why, when Glen’s brother, Grant and I started to talked, I really felt different. It was so cool. Since then I want to always talk to him. He even tried to put icing on my face. He teased his Kuya to me. When I threw a joke to him, he answered in the same joke where I would loose. I even told him, “Grant, paangkas naman.” Then he offered the bike he was using. He tried to scare me with the bird they caught and gave me snake’s body –without the head. Even before I went home, he was the one who talked to me last. He was calling me “panget”. The feeling I felt was really a great happiness. It seems I found another brother in Grant.

As I said in my previous blog post, I was not use of having my father around in holidays like New Year. The last time I could remember my New Year with him was ten years ago. I was six years old then. They would tell me, “Joyce, gising, punta tayo Mcdo.”. They usually do that to waken me up to celebrate New Year.

This year I experiences having one with him again. I stayed up late the whole New Year’s eve. At 9:30 pm we went to Rizal to greet Nanay Elma and other’s a happy new year. When we got home, I watched the New Year’s countdown in GMA7. I always do that every New Year’s eve. When the hand of the clock strike at 12:00, the whole road was very bright. Lots of fountain lights were opened. I had watched also the firework display of our neighborhood. I can here firecrackers every where. When all of those stopped, we went inside and ate. After eating eating, my Tita Neng Neng arrived and visited us. She brought some of my cousins. They chatted with us while they were eating.

After they ate, they stayed for some quite time and went home. I helped my mother in cleaning up the mess. She washed the dishes and I put things backed in place. After that, we went to sleep. Other’s said that you will experience a lot of happiness with those people around you during New Year’s Eve. I hope it’s true.

Usually, tele-series here in our country is full of drama. One of which is where a conflict between family members arouse. Broken family is usually the theme of those tele-series we are watching. As viewers, we felt something for what we are watching., We even sometimes laugh, cry, and express our emotions while watching but have you ever thought that those things you have just watched can happen in real life?

I had watched a movie in my friend’s house. The story of that was good. The girl had never thought that those scenes in her favorite book could happen in real life especially to her. When her father arrived from his work abroad, her mother discovered that her father was having an affair with her co-worker. Ever since, she always hear them shouting at each other. She can sometimes see her mom crying silently. That was very hard for her. There was this time when she was waken up by her mother. Her mother was very angry at her dad. She told the young girl to pack her things as well as her brother’s because they were about to live the house. Her mother was planning to leave her father. As her mother told her to do so, her father would stop her and said they were not supposedly to leave. He said that he is the one who should leave. The young girl was so confused and don’t know what to do. That was really hard for the girl. Her mother talked to her while crying. Her mother asked for their forgiveness for what had happened to their lives. She also said that she will do everything to give them good lives as well.

Hearing her parents shouting at each other was a trauma for her. Thus every time that she could hear something loud, someone crying out loud, she would always think that her parents are fighting again. For my insight, I really don’t want to experience such thing. It seems so hard. As I watched, I felt so sad for the girl. I felt pity for her. How would I still face those kinds of things if it would happen to me? Like the girl, I never dreamt of experiencing that, but still, I’m dreaming not to have one. When I’m old enough to have my own family, I would make it sure that this wont happen to my own family.

I was used of having Christmas without my Dad. Ever since I gone to school, he was not around for special occasion except for my birthdays. That was because, every year he has 11 months of contract to his work. He worked as an OFW. I might even say that yes, he gave us a good education and life, but it was an incomplete one.

When he arrived, he and my mom usually have misunderstanding between each other. I can always hear them shouting at each other and later on, I would found my mom crying. That hurts me a lot. That terrifies me when I remember that Christmas is near. My father is here for holiday seasons, but the Christmas spirit is not present in our surroundings. I always ask myself how our Christmas would be, now that my father is here.
This Christmas Eve, my family attended the mass. After that we had our Noche Buena. We don’t usually have that. We used to sleep during times like this. When I woke up the next morning, I found a certain amount of money in my Christmas sack which I usually hang near my bed every Christmas. That is one of my childish attitudes during Christmas. We spend the whole Christmas day in our house. That night, my parents went to Rizal to visit Nanay Elma. Glen texted me that he, together with his family will come over for a visit. I was so nervous that time. Glen brought me “bibingka”. I called my parents at Rizal to tell Glen’s family was in our house. They laughed at me so hard.

I was happy this Christmas because my father is here with us. Another reason was that, in Christmas night, Glen’s family visited us. Inspite of that, I was so unlucky to experienced great love between my parents this season.

♥ Kodie’s Birthday – A Long Water Trip ♥

One month before Kodie’s birthday, I and my classmates planned to gave him a scientific calculator as a present. We thought that it would be nice if we will be giving one because we know that it would be very useful for him in his studies. Later on, we had finalized our birthday plan for Kodie. We decided to give him a birthday party during this sem-break. We planned to invite his family as well. We saw how his mother cares for him and our hearts were touched by her words.

At that day, I woke up about 3 in the morning. I was too excited that I woke up every hour. At 6, I ate my breakfast. After eating, I washed the some dishes and suddenly, Jamare arrived. While I’m washing the dishes, we chatted. After washing those, I immediately change my clothes and prepare for the outing . When Kodie arrived, we went in Shoreline, one resort in Malainin. Starting 8, we jumped in and stayed in the pool. Every hour, we ate our snacks and afterwards returned to the pool again. We played, swan and ran in the water. After lunch, we sang the birthday song to Kodie. After all the singing, wishing and blowing mood, Kodie sliced his cake. The half of the cake was kept for Kodie’s family. The other half was for the section. As the result of putting together the 3-oxy’s most naughty and noisy students, the cake was not eaten properly. Since it has a lot of icing, we just got it and chased each other and put it in each other’s body. For me, that was the messiest thing that we have done, but that was the most memorable and the funniest.

Others went home before four, but me and some more stayed. The water was so warm and we loved it. We went out of the pool almost 6 pm. After the very tiring day, our complexion turned very dark compared before. We were so tired that when we got home, we easily fell asleep. This day was so fun yet so tiring.

There was this TV series from America that changed my view in life. This gave me a choice being a lawyer someday. When I was still a child, I had watched one movie where lawyers were being killed. From then on, I got frightened to become one. After watching 5 seasons of Ally Mcbeal, I realized that lawyers were supposedly not to be killed, but to give justice. From watching that TV series, I learned as well, how true love change lives of so many people.

Ally Mcbeal was a TV series from America. It is about a lady that can’t find some one whom she can stay with for the rest of her life. The story ran in a circle of lawyers and laws. Every series was a brand new case for the law firm. Now, how does this show became very interesting and changed a lot of things in my mind and other people? The story was this …

Ally Mcbeal and Billy Thomas were childhood friends and couples. They believed that they were meant to be by smelling each other’s butt. They separated when Billy transferred to another country to study law. Ally was hurt and decided to take law as well. Having bad experiences in her first law firm, she transferred to Cage & Fish Law Firm. In this law firm, she met her secretary, Elaine, a very desperate one. She also met here another best friend, John Cage. She became friends with the other lawyers like, Richard Fish, Nelle Porter, and Ling Woo. She and her childhood friend, Billy, met their way in this law firm. She was also introduced to Billy’s wife, Georgia Thomas. This conflict added thrill in the story. Ally loved Billy so much. She was hurt because Billy had already married but not to her. She experienced a lot of past relationships but it only ended up to break – up. While having affairs with others, Ally knew that she still love one man. That was Billy. She tried everything for her to move on and find some one who can love her like Billy. She met Glenn and Larry. Those two made her forget Billy for a while. Her relationship with the two didn’t work as well. Every other case, she will hold another one and meet another guy. Despite of that, her love for Billy stayed. The very exciting twist was Billy, got Brain tumor. He died when his having his closing in their case. He got way from got away from the topic he was discussing and told everyone that Ally was the love of her life. He told every one that “love is the only thing that counts”. During his burial he showed up to Ally and said “It is stronger than death.”

Billy meant of love when he said it is stronger than death. At the last point of his life, he showed Ally that he loved her so much as she loved him. I guess this TV series in not just about law - sexual harassments, prostitution, murder and other, after all. It is not the law, but love.

♥A Day To Remember♥

I woke up 4 o'clock this morning when my mom opened the lights. She prepared our breakfast as early as that because she and my dad were going to attend the mass for their reunion. She told me that she will fetch us when they pass here during the motorcade. When they left, me and my brother played psp and after a few minutes we decided to eat. After eating, I planned to wash the dishes but my dad texted me that we should go to the church in that moment. I replied that we have just eaten our breakfast and we still need to take a bath. He told me that we should be there before 7-before the motorcade starts. When we arrived in the church the mass will soon to end. My father told me to go inside the church and look for my mother. When I saw Glen I was very sure that my mother was near him. After the mass, we saw Ma'am Rhea. She told us before that she don't want to attend the reunion. We talked to her and we asked her why she was here. During the parade, we were with Glen and his mom, Tita Lhen. We rode in their car and during the ride, we played psp. After the long parade, the street dancing will start. My mom and Tita Lhen decided that Glen, Ian (my brother), and I should stay in their "kubo" in San Roque Elementary School and waited for them. When we arrived there, we played psp again. When one of our mom's classmates arrived, he asked us to help him in fixing the tables and he gave us bananas to eat after. When the bacth of my father arrived form the street dancing, I asked him to find a comfort room. After I used the comfort room, I returned to our "kubo". I saw Ian and Glen drinking juice and eating chips. I asked them where did they got those foods. Glen answered back that his mother bought those for the 3 of us. Afterwards, I asked where was my mother. I've never seen her after the street dancing. Hours passed when Glen asked me, if the car in front was ours. I told him no, because I know that my mom won't use that today. We both laughed when we saw my mom holding the keys of the car and opened the backdoor. Now I know where she had been. She got there foods from Zamora. We spent some time in playing psp. My mom called my name smiling at the 3 of us and pointing to the lechon. We were so much excited to eat that. During the parade, we talked and thought about how delicious that lechon would be. We can't concentrate on what we were doing while we can smell the lechon. It made us very hungry. Tita Che was offering us the lechon but refused to eat. We where very shy but they can see it that we really want to eat some. Tita Lhen gave us one of the feet of the lechon. We were laughing and she told us "Huwag na mahiya!", but we still refused it. Everyy now and then, Tita Lhen will give us some parts of the lechon until we ate our lunch. After lunch the 3 of us were very silent and we felt sleepy. Tita Lhen, my mom and their classmates were all laughing at the 3 of us because we were very silent after eating. Tita Che said, "Ngayon sawa kayo sa lechon, kanina tatakam takam kayo" and laugh very hard. That afternoon, I played with Tita Che's son. I found him very friendly and cute little boy. Another hour passed by and the three of us were still sitting beside each other and playing psp. I was sleepy and I was very silent in a moment when Glen put an ice on my ears. We laughed hardly and I put ice on his back. Glen put ice on the back of my brother and we started to put ice on each other. Afterwards we felt like eating lechon again. Tita Lehn gave us lechon once again and we finished eating it. Glen got another part of the lechon and we quickly finished it. He asked my brother to get another and we were laughing because the one he got was a huge one. We didn't finish that and we just gave it to the classmate of our mom. It was almost 6 o'clock and it was already dark. Tito Glenn, Grant and Gellai-Glen's father, brother, and cousin arrived. We ate our dinner together. Glen's family went home before 7. I was very sleepy then. I felt so tired. I sit all day long beside my brother and Glen. I ate almost every hour. This day was fun and a great experience. I hope next year, the reunion of our parents would be more exciting.

In just a snap, an instant volleyball icon was born. Helen, a first year student who was very known for being a good player in her team. It is not only Helen, but with her is Judith and Cielo. I don't know why, but they give much attention to Helen. Every time the green team would have a game, everyone would cheer "Helen!Helen!Helen!"

In game 2, the green team defeated the red team with one point. The game went very exciting. The players of the red team admitted that the players of the green team were really good. They have noticed the potential of Helen to carry the team for the championship. In game 3, the green team defeated the blue team as well. The first year proved that age doesn't matter!

Last Friday, the championship game was held in the gym since it was raining hard. The players found it hard because the ball might strike the roof. Whenever it happened, the opponent would gain a point. The Macintosh met the Acers again in the volley ball match. At the first set of the game, the red Macintosh won against the green team. The red team easily. The whole red team cheered for the players. They don't stop cheering with the drums. The last set was really exciting. Both team exchanged the ball with their force and not letting it touch the roof nor the floor as well. The scores were not that far from each other. With the very much pressure the red team didn't able to catch the ball and return it. The green team became the champion in the volleyball girls. Yahoo for Helen!!!

♥Macintosh basket ball girls dumped the Vaio girls♥

The third day of the intramurals started with the championship game between the Blue Vaio and the Red Macintosh. The Red Macintosh was very happy for making it to the championship game for basketball girls. The players prayed for the victory of the team. They even asked for the guidance of God.

The whole Macintosh team was there for support. Froi led the cheers. He even coached the players. He was the one who managed the players. Lerina, from the red team played as the swimmer inside the court. She got wounded at the first quarter of the game. She fell twice due to aim the ball. The red team posses Dei, Ria, Chammy and Lerina, as wella as Katrina and Ann as their best players. Chammy made most of the scores. Tenten, Taje and Claudine stayed as a part of the team.

The first two quarters, the blue team was not able to make points unless they received free throws.The last quarter gave the blue team the chance to make the game more exciting. The red team thought that the green team is in favor of the scores. In that time, the players prayed and asked God for his help and guidance. We were shocked when we learned that we were on the lead by 3 points.The game ended up in the score of 18-15 in favor of the red Macintosh.

"MAC-INT-OSH...MACINTOSH", the yell of the red team as they rule the court in the 2nd day of the intrams. The continuous shoot of the red team alerts the opponent. Every time they have the ball, the defense of the red team would steal the ball from them. Most of the player violation was traveling. They sometimes, ran forgetting to dribble the ball.

This is the 1st time that I had participated in the in the intrams as a player. I was so nervous and I really don't know what to do with the ball if I would have it. Thanks to Glen for being my first coach for this sports. He had taught me how to hold the ball during the game. He also taught me of stealing the ball from the opponent. I was able to used those things at the 3rt quarter of the game. I was able to get the ball from a first year student. That moment I don't know what to do, so I keep on shouting while dribbling the ball and pass it to Claudine. I was planning to run trough the half court and watch for Chastine. I was shocked when Claudine threw the ball to me, I don't know what to do so I threw it to Maine. It gave me so much thrill. Sir Ces told me "Terrence, bawal sumigaw." We keep on laughing afterwards.

The team didn't allow the green team to score until the 3rd quarter of the basketball game. The score was 12-0 before the 3rd quarter began. Sir Ces told the green team that if they would not have score for this quarter the game is over. The green team then on became alert and tried to have the ball and shoot it into the ring. Pia steal the ball and gave the 1st point for her team. The game ended with the score of 28- 8 in favor of the red Macintosh!

♥Much Awaited AcTiVity♥

It was Monday and everyone is excited for the intrams. Wherever you look you could see the students wearing their teams' uniform. You could also hear the very energetic cheers of each team. Everyone is ready for the games. The program begun with a simple flag ceremony and followed by a piece of advise from our beloved principal.

The competition between the four teams, namely - Green Acers (1st year);Yellow Asus (2nd year);Red Macintosh (3rd year) and Blue Vaio (4th year), when the cheer dance competion started. The Green team danced the first followed by the Red team. The Blue team followed and the yellow danced the last. The yells became louder when represenatatives from each team were called for the Mr. and Ms. Physique contest. Each contestants were very fit and beautiful.

After a break, Mr. Andaman announced the winners for the 1st two events for the intrams. The green team got the 4th place for both competitions. In the other hand, the yellow team won the 1st place in the Mr.&Ms. Physique contest and 3rd for the dance contest. The red team won the 1st place in the dance contest while 2nd in the Mr.&Ms. physique. The last team won the 2nd place in the dance contest and 3rd in the pageant.

♥My Man, My aNgeL♥

Looking back at my past, there is a man who shared his life with me and my family. He is not one of my relatives but I treated him as my GRANDFATHER. He was a friend of my family and a professor for my parents. My dad treated him as one of his father. In fact, he lived with us for almost 3 years.

My Lolo Rusty usually brings us to Mcdo or Jollibee when I was still young. He wouldn't let us to miss any toy form the said fast-food restaurant chain. Every Christmas, he sells fruits in the public market. Me and my brother helped him and stayed with him once a week in the market. He is very proud of us. He even tell something about us to every customer he had, and he would aslo say "Eto ang pinka-mamahal kong mga apo."How sweet is that, right?! (I miss him so much! ~.~) Every year, during my birthday, he will come for dinner. The very last time he did that, he got one picture of mine when I joined the Earthwatch teens last 2006 and told us,"Ilalagay ko to sa lamesa ko sa iskul. Pakikita ko sa mga estudyante ko gano kaganda ang apo ko." He really makes me feel that I'm special for him.

Sad to say, last two years he died because of a kidney disease. We taught he already fine, but suddenly when I went home my mom said "Puntahan natin ang lolo, kayong dalawa nalang ata iniintay nun. Hindi napikit ang lolo niyo." That time I knew he was in comma. That night, we visited him and I saw how much pain he could feel. He can't move and talk. I knew he could hear us because we could see tears from his eyes. I can't sleep that night. That midnight, his sister caleed my mother and told that my Lolo already left us. I can feel both sadness and hapiness the moment I heard that. I felt happy for him because his sufferings had come to an end and sad because we lost him. Last October 3 was his birthday. We were not able to visit him but I still pray for him. I hope that his watching me and be my guardian angel.

Most of the time, me and my mom have fights, whenever I did something that she doesn't like, she would scold me. She would shout at me and doesn't stop until see sees my crying. I really hate her for that. It seems that se really mean to hurt me.

Despite of hating her, she's my inspiration. She's the reason why I strive hard to do things. She doesn't believe in my strength to go for the things I like to do. She would always say that I can't do it. I want to prove her wrong, that is the very reason why she is my inspiration.

She takes good care of me and my brother. She's strong and not sweet. I still love her and forever I will do. I even thank God for giving me my mother. For me, she is the best Mom!

After the PTC, I've decided to strive harder this second grading period. I have realized that my grades are low compared to other sections- though I've got the 6th place in the ranking list. Now, I'm aiming to get 83 above in the test that will be given to us the next week in Physics. Ma'am said whoever got 83+ would be exempted for the PT. I think that all of us want to be exempted, right? I'm now starting to have a schedule on my study habits. I will focus more on the subjects that I have difficulties like Zoology and Araling Panlipunan. Waaaaah! Read! Read! Read!

Zoo? Uhm... I'm trying to become "more" attentive than before in this subject. I'm trying to understand everything in the discussion and analyze more on the concepts given to us. In AP, I try to understand everything as well and put them on my mind. I try to read before go to sleep and before I go to school.

This week, our week started with a very unexpected problem. That was last Tuesday, when Ma'am Tolentino told us to fix our problem with our adviser. Starting that moment, all of started to think what was that until we realized that some of us entered the room while our adviser was still having her lessons with 3-F. Finally, this Thursday, our adviser talked to us. She told us a story which made most of us cry. That encourage me to tell my mother how much I love her. The next day, after every subject, I got nervous and more nervous. When our adviser posted the top ten, I got confident but still it was not enough to over come my fear to my Mom. My mother always got angry to me every PTC even though I have high grades. But this time, it was different. My mother just told me to study harder and I should make my grades higher.

After the very tiring trip to Subic, another week had passed by. That Monday, we had our one hour review in Araling Panlipunan and Zoology. We also done our activity in English. The next 2 days, we had our P.T 1.2. I found the test in English easy but in other subjects, I really got nervous what grade would I get from those. That Wednesday afternoon, it was anounced that there would be no classes for Thursday, Friday, Monday. It means that the resume of classes would be on Tuesday. We had a very early Sem-break. I missed my classmates, specially my best bud. I miss him so much. So mean that I could not use my cellphone this days! I was not able to communicate with them. I miss him so much. I've realized that, his the one who makes me complete. Without him, it was very solemn!!! I just miss him!!!

I woke up before 2 in the morning to prepare myself in the trip. I arrived at our school almost 3:oo. I got excited as I see my classmates. Our section was the first one who got inside the bus. We were really excited! Hahaha! We were so amazed of the bus because of it's lights and it really was beautiful. But that was over when we stop in Bacoor because of some mechanical problems. That was not the first and last time that we stop because of that problem. It happened for 16 times. We stop on bridge, highways, and even on the top of ply over. The worst things happened in Pampanga. It is weird because whenever there would be a sign of Petron, gasoline station, the bus would stop. We waited for 3 hours. I was not able to control my tears that time. It's already 11:30 and were still there, waiting. We were expected to arrive Subic at 8 am, but we arrived there 2 pm. It was still ok for us even though were running out of time, we still enjoyed the trip. I saw dolphins, sea lions, monkeys, ostrich, tigers, and more. I was so happy that afternoon. I hope there would be "next time".

I'm too much excited for the field trip. But moreover, I'm excited to have guinea pigs. Last Saturday, one of my favorite talk shows featured this kind of pets. I don't know why, but I felt very bad this week. I was not able to stay clam in each moment. Every now and then, there would be a fight. Haiz! It was very hard for me to stay in that kind of situation. I loose my patience easily. It was almost a month, I kept thinking to go on my own way. I want to be free from jealousy, too much protection and those fights that I can no longer resist. I kept on crying every night. One day, when I woke up, I asked myself. "Why are you crying for this things? It is not yet over. You can still do something to save your relationship with him." I taught I was right. But that day also, I lost my patience and suddenly, I decided to give him up. I'm so idiot for doing that. Giving up the man in your heart is not easy.

My father could be a good example to others. He is full of patience in his work. He always calls us during night and tells us that it is very hard to work there and being not with us. One time, during his vacation, one of his friends came to our house and late at night. He is asking for help because he is badly in need of money. My father didn't think twice and gave him the money. He is very helpful. He doesn't like doing nothing. He likes to work. Thus, he is very industrious. If he has nothing to do, he would always asks us to go outside and have fun. My father always reminds me to be a good daughter. He always tells me to study hard. He really wants me to finish my studies. He always reminds me that he loves me so much and I should remember that.

I really got stressed within this week. There were too many arguments and misunderstanding which bothers me a lot. All of those were because of me. It was my fault why there is a conflict between my best friend and his friends. They were blaming each other. I've tried to explain but it just made the situation worst. It really feels bad whenever I would see my best friend very sad because of that. Why should he suffer from things that I did??? It was all because of me. His friends were all angry to him, even almost the whole class. I feel pity for him. Let's admit it, yes he did something wrong, but his over it. I was the one who told the class about it. I was the one who gave the 3 names. He didn't mention anyone form the group, I did.

Another thing that bothers me a lot, is my friends. Sometimes, I feel that they were hiding something form me. They were thinking if they will tell it to me, I'll got hurt and got angry. My point is, if there is something wrong about me, or about something else that involves me tell it to me.

I'm looking forward for the good of the section. It seems every step I do, every move that I do, it will just make the situation worst. I really don't know what is the right thing to do. If I would just be quiet, the whole thing would be blame to my best bud. It would just hurt me and make me so much guilty. His friends should know that I am the one who is behind this. ~.~

♥Family History♥

I really find it hard to trace my family background. The only person whom I can talk about this matter is my mother who also doesn’t know much about it. She don’t know even one of her aunts and uncles, grandparents and other relatives in her mother side. She just know that her mother, my Lola Belen ( Belen Javier) is from Bicol. She don’t know how did her mother arrived in Naic, Cavite. Lola Belen was a domestic helper in Hong Kong before. She died last 2002 because of stroke. My mother lived in San Roque in her childhood days. This is where her father, my Lolo Lorenzo(Lorenzo Catubig) lived since then. He is now a tricycle driver. His father Modesto Catubig(former driver), died also in year 2002 while her mother, Pelissa Catubig is still living. She is now very weak and can't recognize us anymore.

In my father's side, I only got my grandparents. My mother don't know also about my grandparents' grandparents. When I was in Gr. 3 my Lolo Domeng (Domingo Abella) died. He was a former driver while my Grandmother, Lolo Gayang (Ligaya Abella) is still living. She has a mini sari-sari store. Being the eldest, Papa Ostoy (Agosto Abella) is now a manager of his own business. His daughters have their own family while his two sons are studying in other country. The second son of my grandparents is my Tito Erneng (Ernesto Abella) . One year after my Tito Sileng(Marcelino Abella) was lost, he followed. It's been 3 years from now when the were gone. It is really hard for us, specially for my cousins. My father (Apholonio Avilla) was the fourth son. My mother said that when my father enter his college life, he uses Avilla instead of Abella as his surname. After four consecutive sons, my grandmother gave life to my Tita Evelyn (Evelinda Abella). She stays home and took care of her children. The youngest is my Tita Neng-Neng (Purificacion Abella). She is working in EPZA. She still don't have partner in life. She spends her money in helping my other cousins in studying.

Both sides of my parents are 100% Filipino. Most of them were drivers. Our family has a lot of sad stories.

Last night, I was looking for my copy of our research paper last year. The moment I found it, memories flashed back to my mind.

Since November 2007, Mayreen, Glen, Zyrex, Ronhel, Edmark and me were already having our experiments and having problems with our research. Every week, we make it sure that we could comply with the requirements. We were so much afraid of passing nothing to our teacher, but most of the time, whenever its already submission, other groups don't have something. Uhmm, we don't regret that, because we got high grades. As far as I can remember, during the month of January - February, me and my group mates often have fights. We shouted and said bad words to each other, but later on, we kept on laughing. We had good times with each other. We ate and slept together during midnights. Sometimes, we even met 7x a week just for our research. We spent our weekends with each other.

We had a lot of good and bad memories during our research. Inspite of having troubles, we got the highest grade in research. This research is one of the those big events in my 2nd year HS life.

Today people need lot of materials for their household chores. One of those is the stain remover. In the study, the researchers tried to produce stain remover from the peeling extract of ginger lily juice and Chinese Orange and Dalandan peelings.It also aims to remove the stain color of the 2 specimens to the clothes and to compare the ability of the 2 specimens in removing stains from the clothes. To start the study, the materials were gathered. The peelings of each specimen were removed. The peelings were grinned with the use of the blender. Afterwards, a clean cloth was obtained. The extracts of each specimen were squeezed using the cloth. Another 90 pieces of cloth were gathered and each was stained by blood, catsup and rust. It was left to be dried. The stained clothes were placed in the plastic cup and the extracts were poured into it. The set-up was left for 2 hours. The data were obtained from the respondents who used the product. As the result of the study, Ginger Lily showed its potential as a stain remover. It won the best specimen used for removing the 3 stains. Calamansi extract was the best with its odor. Dalandan maybe helpful to remove stains but it is not effective compared to the first two specimens.

When I was still in my elementary days, I've always thought of being a teacher because I want to teach and share my talent and knowledge to others, specially to the youths. This dream was changed when I got in high school. I started to love journalism and writing. But later on, I found it so boring. The question in my mind now is "What do I want to achieve?" and "What's my purpose in living?". All I want to prove is that I can achieve my dreams - the purpose of my life. I want to finish my studies with high grades. I like to be with my family, as well as my friends and make them happy. I want to write and write to entertain others. Though its seems boring for me, I still love it!) I want to inform others about the latest happening around them. And most of all, I need to love and to be loved. Achieving all of this would not be the end, but the start of the real life.

Have you ever wished to become someone else? Someone who could do whatever he wants? Have you ever felt being a prisoner of yourself? Of your family? How about, feeling so alone, so hatred, so much depressed, and it seems it is already the end of the world?

Feeling such things would make me go crazy!!! If I would want something for myself, definitely my mother won’t like it for me. We’re always having arguments regarding that misunderstanding. Not just with that, sometimes, we were having fight because of my friends, my very close friends and our trips. For me, she’s kind of KJ…

Ever since I have these hard feelings for her. Even to my father. I just don’t understand why are they very strict to me? Do they know that I’m hurt whenever they disagree with me??? I feel that I don't have their support.

I hope they will understand my feelings.

As I see a 2^nd year student passing by, I can’t stop myself reminiscing the times that I was on their stage. I miss the whole II-Oxygen. I miss how we make noise, how we laugh, how we play, how we quarrel, how we cry, how we fail and pass the tests and, how to enjoy being a student. Sometimes, I wonder if they are feeling the same way too.

I really miss them all! Christian, Edmark, Zyrex, Joy, Cyrille, Zhaila, Cez, Nadine, Claire, Jovy, Michelle, Cyrile, Felariz, Jerika, Ivy were all in other section, while Martin, Kodie, Glen, Ronhel, Harry, Dianne, Mafi and me were still in Oxygen. How about the others? Well, they have to leave for such a reason. I miss them more.

Nat-Nat was one of my funniest classmates. We constantly fight. One Friday afternoon, we were cleaning the room. I got angry because the boys were not doing their tasks properly, so I shouted at them. Nat taught that I was only referring to him. He got angry and threw the chair and the broom he was using. I got frighten. Some of my classmates took me outside the room so that Nat2 would not hurt me. Since then, I got afraid of him whenever his angry. How do we reconcile? Uhmm… We just let days passed by and then suddenly, were already ok!

Another classmate who always makes me smile was Mayreen. We call each other as “furtner”. Hahaha… Yes, Furtner. It was because; she’s always my partner in some activities. Sometimes, when we were bored, we will look in one corner of the room or even in the picture of Madam President while we were talking. Hahaha! Nice trip ah?

Since 1^st year, me and Ej were close friends. During weekends or vacations, we were always talking on the phone. Others taught of something between the two of us because of our closeness (but really, we have nothing at all). Honestly, we were always talking about Ej’s love life. He was always calling me to ask for advice.

Shaun, was the weirdest of all! Most of the times you will see him doing some hand gestures which are not normal. You would also hear him sing very loudly. He’ is such a funny guy! One time, he has these ¼ sheets of paper with his weird drawings. With that, he would foretell something about us. He also worship some other Gods which he said living in woods. Hahaha! I miss him so much!

Ilog!!! Hahaha! II – Oxygen’s president, Myrene was with Shaun now. I believe they are now classmates in ADSAI. She is the best president for me. She’s not that very strict but not also very kind. Since Preparatory were already classmates. She knows a lot about me.

I’m looking forward to have one day with them. Even just for a few hours. I really want to be with them again and have the laugher we have.

whatever life may brings, we must go with it. Learn to move on and accept facts. We need to be strong and determined.

This Monday, (June 16) was the 1^st day of my brother in his new school. At first he was very excited to attend his classes in that school. I was disappointed when I got home and saw him crying in his bed. I talked to my mother regarding that. She said that Ian don’t like his new school at all. She said that I should talk to Ian and help him. Hence, after I had my shower, I talked to him. He said that he was uncomfortable in that school. He definitely misses the way in Maddalena Starace School, where we had our elementary days and his former school (He studied there for 6 years).

For three consecutive days, every time that I would arrive home, I always see him crying and complaining that he really hates the school. I became sad whenever I saw him that way. I miss my “lil Ian” who was very funny and talkative. Since last Monday, I helped him first in doing his home works before I do mine.

I felt pity on him. He was never used of having a different school aside from MSS. I too felt sad in my first weeks in CNSHS, but I had learned to adjust. I explained to my brother that the decision of my mom and dad for us to have a different school is also for us.

A Start of Something New

This is it!!! I’m now a third year high school student from Cavite National Science High School. I know that this would be another start of something really new. Since I was a first year student, some of my schoolmates who were on the higher years were always saying that the 3rd year level is the most difficult year aside form being a freshman.

The moment I woke up, I was already on hurry. I quickly ate my breakfast, took a bath and fix everything for the first day of school. I was accompanied by my mother because my service arrived already but I am still taking a bath. When I looked at the clock it was already 6:30 and I was thinking that maybe I’m already late and the flag ceremony was already starting. When I arrived at the school, all the students were already on the court and about to start the flag ceremony. I ran to our platoon before it starts. My first day in school was fun. Unluckily, it was very hot in our room. That night, I got head ache and stayed in my Grandma’s house for dinner. The next two days, we had our diagnostic test and the election of class officers,where I was elected as one of the board members,and club organizations. I joined YEC and Kabayani Club where I was elected as the muse for year level. This Thursday morning, my father left for wok in Europe. I was not able to come with them to the airport because of school. I cried the whole night and morning because of that. I really wanted to come with them to see my father before he left the country. And that afternoon, I don’t know what really happened the very moment I suddenly fell down the stairs about 3 steps. I was very lucky because Lorena was there in front of me. If she was not there, I maybe have broken my arm, or even worst than that.

It’s a freaky week for me! Meeting those new teachers and having a different batch of classmates was very exciting. Whenever we would use the comfort room we need to go down and go to the Chemistry lab which is very hard for us. I’m expecting for a lot more new things that I would be experiencing within this year. More difficult things and challenges to face and

no more laziness! For this year, I should aim high!!
